Privacy Policy

Your Privacy

I’ll always make every effort possible to ensure your privacy is protected. The only data I’ll collect is that I legitimately need to fulfil my job, and no more. When filling in my contact form, you’ll be asked for certain identifiable information, such as your name and email address. This data is collected in order to provide you with a quote, and will not be used in any way, shape or form if you decide not to book me.

The information I collect may include

Your name

Email address

Mobile number

Your home address (to post your USB and any products)

The addresses of your locations throughout the day

Names of those involved with your day (for group photos or alternate contacts)

What I do with the information

Your information is stored in the awesome organisational software Dubsado, which is password protected from my side and yours, and is becoming GDPR compliant (woop!). I also keep a paper copy of your plans in a ring binder in the office, in case of the *unlikely* event the technology fails. Your names, wedding dates and phone number are stored in my phone, which is password protected and erased in the event of theft.

Your Rights & Privacy

Under GDPR, you have the following rights;

•The right to be informed

•The right of access

•A right to rectification

•The right to erasure (in the event you would like every copy of your photos erased, written permission from both parties must be obtained and this will entail a cooling off period of 2 months)

•Right to restrict processing

•The right to data portability

•A right to object

•The right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling.

Lawful processing of data

The data I obtain and process is only for the purposes of booking in clients, and the processes I use are designed

with your privacy in mind.

Access Requests

If you would like to access the data I have on you, you can request to do so via email, or arrange a meeting.

Consent

You’ll have the choice as to how your images are used after your wedding day. A questionnaire in your client portal will offer you the opportunity to select how you’d like your photos to be used, including their use online and for marketing purposes.

Consent for Guests

I aim throughout the day to photograph all of your guests. I work on the assumption that guests in attendance at your wedding are happy to be photographed, unless they make an effort to avoid the camera or approach me and ask otherwise. These images are shared with you, the couple, in a password protected gallery to which you can decide who has access. On occasion, I’ll use these images on social media and in marketing materials – if those in the image want it removed, I will do so.

Promotional Emails

I don’t have a mailing list, and therefore won’t be contacting you for promotional purposes. Emails and any calls are just to clarify details required for your booking, to update you on your photos and respond to any questions you may ask. In the event I ever begin a mailing list in the future, you’ll be contacted about opting in, but at the moment I have plenty of other things to keep me busy!

Links to Other Websites

Any links from this website to others (such as suppliers’ sites or wedding blogs) are checked for functionality, but not for malware or security. I cannot be held responsible for content on other sites linked from here.

Security

I endeavour to keep my website, emails, computer and hard drives as secure as possible, following precautions at every juncture to reduce the risk of hacking, robbery or malware.

GDPR Compliance

I’ll keep working on GDPR compliance as the law adapts and changes. I only require and use your data to do my job to the best of my ability, and have no intention of selling it on to malicious or otherwise companies!
